MADISON, Wis. — Local veterans who fought in the Korean and Vietnam wars returned home Saturday night after a special day trip to America’s capital. The veterans were part of the 43rd Badger Honor Flight, which gives those who fought for America a chance to see the landmarks that have been built in their honor.
MADISON, Wis. — Brian Ziegler from the Badger Honor Flight joins Live at Four to preview this weekend’s trip to the nation’s capital for 87 Wisconsin veterans. Well-wishers can help welcome the veterans home at the Dane County Regional Airport Saturday night. The flight is scheduled to return at 9:15; Badger Honor Flight recommends people show up an hour early to get in place.

(Beaver Dam) Today’s (Saturday’s) trip is the 41st for Badger Honor Flight. There are 95 veterans on board, including one who served in Korea, two who served in Vietnam and Korea, and the rest are all Vietnam veterans.
