Fulton County joins growing list of burn bans

According to the Arkansas Forestry Commission, outdoor burning is now prohibited in Fulton County. Fulton joined Izard, Searcy and Stone as the area counties under a burn ban on Tuesday.

Burn ban issued for 3 area counties

The bans were put in effect Monday for Izard, Searcy and Stone counties due to dry conditions and no rain in the forecast. Baxter County is currently not under a burn ban, but one is in effect for the city of Salesville.
