Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham has accused the Scottish Government of "hypocrisy" over a travel ban to the North West. Nicola Sturgeon announced on Friday all non-essential travel to Manchester and Salford would be banned from Monday, but the Labour mayor said he or his administration were not contacted before the announcement.

NO Scots Covid deaths have been recorded overnight for a second day in a row, the Scottish Government confirmed. The latest Scottish Government update also revealed 1,205 new cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours. Out of all 22,098 new tests taken, 5.8 per cent of those came back positive.

The Scottish Government have confirmed that 1,205 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This is a slight decrease from yesterday's figure of 1,209 new cases of Covid-19. A further 22,098 new tests for Covid-19 were conducted that reported results. Of these 5.8% were positive, an increase from yesterday's 4.5%.
