A shipwreck dating back 2,200 years has been discovered beneath the Mediterranean Sea in a sunken underwater city. Marine archeologists found the wreck of the ancient Egyptian galley at the site of Thônis-Heracleion – a city consumed by the waves a long time ago. The galley would have been a fast vessel with a large sail propelled by a team of oarsman.

At least 57 thought dead as migrant boat capsizes off Libya

At least 57 people are thought to have died after a boat carrying at least 75 African migrants capsized off the coast of Libya. A UN migration official said 20 women and two children were amongst the dead. Eighteen people were rescued and returned to shore by fishermen and Libya’s coast guard, Safa Msehli, a spokesperson for the International Organization for Migration, said.
