Health minister defends Government's reaction to spread of Delta variant

Edward Argar, the Minister of State for Health and MP for Charnwood, defended the Government’s action this morning surrounding the date of when India was added to the travel red list, amid the spread of the Delta variant. It comes as the Government was forced to delay its planned “freedom day” of 21 June as concerns about the spread of the variant increase.
