Entries Now Open For The 2022 Blackpool Night Run

The Blackpool Night Run, which sees thousands of runners enjoying a traffic-free 7.5 km route and experiencing a sneak preview of the world-famous Blackpool Illuminations, is back on the 31 August, 2022. Participants start their run in front of Blackpool Tower and head north towards Bispham & Red Bank Road, before turning round and heading back to the finish line at the Tower.

Hospice to be boosted by three new shops

THE Fylde coast will be home to three new charity shops this month supporting hospice care in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. Trinity Hospice opened its latest shop last Wednesday on Clifton Street, Lytham, supporting its dedicated children’s hospice, Brian House, and raised more than £900 on its first day.

New allotment for patients and families who use Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children’s Hospice

Volunteers at a Thornton allotment have been working tirelessly with support from local sponsors to create a bespoke space for families who use Brian House Children’s Hospice. The accessible allotment and garden area has been created at HASSRA Fylde Garden Club with specialist raised beds hand-made with wood donated by Haldane Fisher Timber Merchants of Garstang.

Blackpool pals taking on Three Peaks challenge for Brian House in memory of Jordan Banks raise £10k so far

A group of pals who are taking on an epic mountain climbing challenge for Brian House children’s hospice in June in memory of youngster Jordan Banks have already raised £10,000. Last summer twenty of the friends took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough and presenting £11,341 to the hospice, on Low More Road Bispham.
