This is the birkenhead.news weekly round-up of police activity in and around Wirral during the previous seven days. Merseyside Police is appealing for information following an incident in Woodchurch on Monday, 27 June. At around 5.50pm a number of reports were received that three men ran into the Arrowe Park Hotel, Arrowe Park Road, armed with weapons saying they were looking for someone.

Multiple arrests for suspected drug-driving last night

Three vehicles impounded in a busy night for Devon and Cornwall Police Devon and Cornwall police arrested three suspected drug drivers in the space of just a few hours overnight. The first incident occurred around 9pm on Friday when local officers stopped a BMW exiting the Tamar Bridge between the two counties after receiving a tip-off from an anonymous source.

Plea to thief who stole locket with baby’s ashes from mum’s car

A locket containing the ashes of a baby has been stolen from the grieving mother’s car in central London. A desperate plea has been made to retrieve the sentimental pendant, which was taken from a BMW in Regents Park last Tuesday, June 21. The locket was among a number of items, including camera equipment, that went missing between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

A BMW driver has been fined almost £100 for speeding 10 mph over the limit. Robert Kinsey, 50, of High Street, Ruislip, Middlesex, was caught driving 40mph in a 30 zone on November 12, 2021. The driver was clocked speeding in his BMW car on the A40 on West Wycombe Road, West Wycombe, exceeding the 30mph speed limit.

A disqualified driver who was wanted for failing to appear at court was captured speeding at 140mph on the M1 past shocked police officers.
