Redditch cops have stepped up patrols following the reports of vandalism to vehicles in the Lodge Park area and they have urged motorists to make sure they secure their cars and leave nothing on show inside to help avoid become a victim of car crime.

Police release CCTV image after man assaulted at Redditch station
By Bev Holder Chief Reporter POLICE investigating an assault at Redditch railway station have today (Monday February 21) released a grainy CCTV image of a man they want to trace in connection with the incident. British Transport Police say an altercation broke out after a man mistakenly picked up another train passenger’s bag at around 9.30pm on Friday October 1, 2021, at the railway station.

Redditch man jailed for three years for supplying class A drugs

James Allcock, of Lightoak Close, was sentenced to three years in prison at Worcester Crown Court on February 3. Police carried out an investigation into Allcock’s activities after officers disrupted a drug deal near Redditch town centre in March last year.

Two women treated at scene of Hagley road crash
By Bev Holder Chief Reporter Updated TWO women were treated at the scene of a crash in Hagley this morning but luckily no one was seriously hurt. The incident happened just after 10am at the junction of the A456 Kidderminster Road and A491 Stourbridge Road. West Mercia Police took to Twitter to make motorists aware of the incident which left Stourbridge Road partially blocked and traffic moving slowly in the area.

Man charged in connection with 'courier fraud' offences in North Worcestershire

Ibrahim Mahmood of High Road, Wembley in London, has been charged with conspiracy to commit fraud. He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Worcester Crown Court on Monday February 28.

Motorists urged to take care in foggy conditions

A fog warning has been issued for the West Midlands, with areas of dense and freezing fog set to develop from 7pm tonight (Monday January 17) and persisting overnight until midday on Tuesday January 18.

Trial date set for man accused of murdering Halesowen pensioner David Varlow

Mr Varlow, aged 78, was found collapsed on the living room floor of his Manor Lane home on November 15, 2021. At Birmingham Crown Court today (Monday January 17), Adris Mohammed, of Icknield Port Road, Birmingham, denied murdering the pensioner and a trial date was set for April 25.

Stourbridge motorist, 60, fined after failing to stop after an accident

Vauxhall Corsa driver Philip Adey, of Stuarts Green, Pedmore, pleaded guilty to failing to stop in Bromwich Lane after an accident on March 31, 2021, which left a person injured.

Three-car crash sees four people and a toddler taken to hospital

Police, fire and ambulance crews were alerted to the incident in Bridgnorth Road at around 9.30pm on Saturday January 15. A total of 13 firefighters from Dudley and Brierley Hill worked at the scene, cutting the roof off the third vehicle involved in the collision.

Masked men seen peering into property in Hagley

The incident happened in Wassell Grove Lane at around 3.20am on Friday January 14. North Worcestershire Police took to Twitter to warn of the incident and said the men "appeared to be looking through the letter box but were scared off by the dogs barking".

Alexander Greek Restaurant, in High Street, Kingswinford, was given the score after assessment on December 9, the Food Standards Agency's website shows. It means that of Dudley's 357 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 204 (57 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
