Extravagant spending has been rampant amongst professional footballers and this is not unusual because they make an awful lot of money. Several of them go on to invest in companies or start their own brands which would be a source of income for them when they retire from the game.

For these footballers, the money may be coming in weekly but it is advisable to save for the rainy day and invest for the future. However, it is their money and they should also learn to enjoy it because you only live once. The key is finding the right balance and while Obafemi enjoys the luxury life – he must take examples from those before him to make a great life after his playing career.
