DisCos To Resume Implementation Of New Electricity Tariff Next Week

The special adviser to President Buhari on infrastructure, Ahmed Zakari has disclosed that the implementation of the new electricity tariff by electricity distribution companies (DisCos) will resume next week.

Recall that the DisCos started implementation of a new service-based reflective tariff (SRT) structure nationwide on September 1 after receiving approval from President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ondo Election: Jegede Drags Akeredolu To Tribunal

Three weeks after the Ondo State Governorship Election, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic, PDP, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, on Friday headed to the state Election petition tribunal to challenge the victory of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Joined in the petition are the Independent National Electoral Commission, the All Progressives Congress and the Deputy Governor-elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has advised youths in the country to stop the End SARS protest, and engage government in dialogue for amicable and peaceful resolutions.

The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has lauded the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for sanctioning three broadcast media stations for their coverage of End SARS protests.
