COVID-19: Madagascar demands 170,000 Euros from Fed Govt for herbal drugs

The Republic of Madagascar has asked Nigeria to pay 170,000 Euros for the quantity of its COVID-19 cure drugs sent to the Federal Government, it was learnt at the weekend.

A source on Sunday said: “For our consignments in Guinea Bissau, Madagascar has asked Nigeria to pay over €170,000 (N78, 200,000). We have received the invoice because the African country has made us to realise that the drugs are not being given out free.

Lagos lists conditions to reopen businesses, worship centres

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said Lagos State Government is considering full reopening of its economy and worship centres.

“But, the move will not be pushed in a hurry,” he said at a briefing after the State’s Security Council meeting held at the State House in Marina on Sunday.

Man seals his wife’s private part with super glue

A manhunt has been launched for a man who sexually assaulted his wife after accusing her of infidelity on Saturday May 16.

The police in Tharaka South Sub-County in Kenya said the suspect first persuaded his wife to move from their Marimanti township home, fearing that he would be arrested after having travelled from Nairobi where there is a lockdown.

Lagos mob sets vehicle ablaze for crushing okada rider

A mob of protesters has reportedly set a commercial vehicle on fire, accusing its driver of killing an Okada rider in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

The 14-seater passenger bus was said to have developed a mechanical fault while the driver tried to navigate the Oke-Gbegun hill in the area when it rammed into the motorcyclist.

Suspected Fulani herdsmen kidnap Enugu woman

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Saturday kidnapped a woman, Mrs Muna Ezeudu, popularly called ‘Mama Enugu’ by locals.

Ezeudu was kidnapped at her residence in Eziam Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area of the state in the early hours of Saturday.
