Akeredolu lifts ban on religious gathering in Ondo

The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has ordered the resumption of religious activities in the state.

Governor Akeredolu gave the order on Wednesday in Akure, Ondo State, during the weekly media briefing on COVID-19 in the state.

Disclosing that the state has recorded its second COVID-19 related death, Akeredolu stated that churches will only operate on Sundays while Mosques will be allowed to operate on Fridays.

The challenge has provided beautiful content that was enjoyed by social media users. However, a Facebook user took to the platform today to reveal that one of the women who engaged in the challenge has been divorced by her husband. Another Prominent Kano Monarch Dies At 89

Dr. Wada Ibrahim Waziri, the Sa’in Bichi, Hakimin Dambatta has passed on at the age of 89.

Family sources told The Nation that the prominent monarch died Wednesday morning after a protracted illness related to old age.

The late monarch who was at one time the District Head of Makoda was born into a royal family and had his education early in Kano Middle School, passed out in the 1950s. READ MORE>>>

 

FG Set To Release Guidelines On School Reopening

The Federal Government has said it would roll out the course of action for the reopening of schools in the country.

The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, stated this during a briefing on Wednesday in Abuja.

While congratulating children in the country on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation urged stakeholders to begin to take steps that would aid the reopening of schools in the country.

Mother who drowned own child remanded at LUTH

 

An Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos Wednesday remanded a mother Olufunmilola Adisa, suspected of killing baby, at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for psychiatric evaluation.
