The governor of the Central Bank Of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele has confirmed reports of restrictions on the importation of milk in the country.
In a video posted on the CBN’s verified twitter account, the Governor confirms that reports quoting him or any official of the CBN regarding restrictions on the importation into the county of are true.

According to him, the reports are very correct as Milk is one of those products produced in the county.
“It’s very correct because we believe that milk is one of those products produced in Nigeria.
I keep saying this, Nigeria belongs to all of us, we have a policy, we want people to respect the polices we have in this country.
we are saying that how much we spend in milk importation in this county is very much.
Restricting importation and boosting local production will help reduce the rate herders and farmers crisis. And we are determined to make milk production in Nigeria a viable economic proposition” Emefiele said.
