An independent jury of photography and digital storytelling experts from all over the world picked Mads Nissen's photograph The First Embrace as the World Press Photo of the Year, while Habibi by Antonio Faccilongo was selected as the World Press Photo Story of the Year.

World Press Photo 2021 exhibition opens in Bucharest

The 64th edition of the yearly World Press Photo exhibition is open at the National Museum of Art of Romania (MNAR) in Bucharest until May 26.The event is part of the international World Press Photo exhibition, on view in more than 100 venues in 45 countries and attracting a public of around 4.5 million at every edition.
