Ashland County Pictures ASHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — The Mifflin Township Fire Department rescued a dog that had fallen through ice Saturday afternoon, according to Ashland County Pictures. The dog, named Leon, was being walked along a lake and took off, heading about 75 feet out onto the lake before falling through the ice. Fire Chief JJ Bittinger and Lt. Amanda Bittinger responded to the scene, suiting up and heading out onto the ice to rescue Leon. Amanda Bittinger fell through the ice and Leon tried to use her
