The Lynchburg Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 1500 block of Longview Road around 4:30 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2021.When officers arrived, they located several casings near the 1505 building.

LYNCHBURG, Va. – A jail officer at the Lynchburg Adult Detention Center is the focus of an assault investigation. The city police department was notified of an alleged assault Friday.
