This Lifetree sculpture at James C. Nelson Park was recently installed in memory of Firefighter James Nelson, who died while on duty for the Sterling Heights Fire Department in 1983. A Lifetree at Leroy H. Imus Park was installed in memory of Sterling Heights police Officer Leroy Imus, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver while on duty in 1971.
