Yellow weather warning issued for Dunfermline and West Fife

THUNDERSTORMS are set to hit West Fife today (Tuesday). A yellow warning has been put in place by the Met Office from midday and this is expected to last until midnight with thundery showers possibly leading to flooding and transport disruption. Householders are being warned that flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.

Locals route off A59 is closed for maintenance

By Lesley Tate Senior Reporter A LOCALS route off the A59 at West Marton leading to Bank Newton and Gargrave is closed today (Tuesday) for maintenance work on the road. North Yorkshire Highways is carrying out work on the kerbs, gully repairs and resurfacing. Access for residents and deliveries will be allowed, but people are being warned this could be more difficult when resurfacing of the road is taking place.
