South West Fife Police receive 223 calls in last week

SOUTH WEST Fife police have dealt with 223 calls over the past week, including reports of theft, assault, and possession of an offensive weapon. Of the calls made, 37 required an immediate response and 24 crime files were recorded, containing 34 charges. The area includes Aberdour, North Queensferry, Dalgety Bay, Inverkeithing, Rosyth, Blairhall, Saline, Oakley, High Valleyfield and Kincardine.

Blairhall: Police issue warning after increased antisocial behaviour in the area

POLICE have warned young teens in Blairhall after an increase in anti-social behaviour in the area. Over recent months, police have seen an increase in vandalism and theft in the village, which they say has been committed largely by young teens. Reports of damage to vehicles and buildings have come in, with Blairhall Community Centre and the primary school targeted repeatedly.

DISTURBANCE TWO people were arrested after a disturbance in North Queensferry at the weekend. Police were called to the incident on Saturday evening. Providing an update on South West Fife Police's Twitter page, officers stated: "Assisting with a disturbance call to #NorthQueensferry. "Two on their way to custody after being arrested in connection with assault."

TWO people were arrested after a disturbance in the North Queensferry area on Sunday. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning. Posting on Twitter, South West Fife Police stated: "A 53-year-old male and 53-year-old female have been charged in connection with assault to injury following a disturbance in the #NorthQueensferry area, which was reported just after midnight.

Thieves steal electric bike after break-in

THEFT Fife Police have appealed for information after a housebreaking and bike theft in Oakley. The incident is believed to have occurred before midnight on January 19. The electric vehicle has the registration SG71 GVM and is pictured above. Any witnesses are being asked to phone 101 and quote reference number 0405 of January 20 with news of the bike.

Appeal after windows smashed at historic Fife castle

Vandals have damaged windows at a popular Fife tourist attraction. Police are appealing for information after the glass panels were smashed in windows at Aberdour Castle over night on Monday. In a post on South West Fife Police’s Twitter page yesterday (Tuesday), which included photographs of the damage caused, said several windows had been smashed between 5pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday.

Teen, 16, charged in connection with alleged theft of life-saving defibrillator in Inverkeithing

A teenager has been charged in connection with the alleged theft and vandalism of a defibrillator in Inverkeithing. Police say the life-saving equipment was ripped from its mounting at Hillend Road, with the glass casing smashed and the damaged defibrillator discarded nearby. It is believed the alleged vandalism happened sometime between 5pm on January 5 and 5.30am on January 6.
