Man arrested for DWI after Queens crash kills Lyft driver

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An alleged drunk driver crashed into another vehicle in Queens on Sunday morning, killing a Lyft driver, police said. The two SUVs collided at Fresh Pond Road and Eliot Avenue in Maspeth shortly before 4 a.m., police said. A 47-year-old man was driving a Toyota RAV4 southbound on Fresh Pond Road when the vehicle was struck by a Ford Explorer traveling eastbound on Eliot Avenue, police said.
