COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) - Police have identified a man who was killed in a crash Monday night. Officers were called to KY-17 South in the area of Pioneer Park around 8:40 p.m., where they found three vehicles that were involved. Preliminary investigation revealed that one of the vehicles turned the wrong way into the southbound lanes and hit a motorcycle.
BUTLER, Ky. (WKRC) - Firefighters battled a fire at a Northern Kentucky country club early Tuesday. Crews responded to the scene at the Pendleton Hills Country Club on Country Club Drive off US-27 in Butler just after 2:30 a.m. The clubhouse was severely damaged. No information was given on any injuries.
KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WXIX) - Authorities are at the scene of a fatal crash in southern Covington Monday night. The crash happened sometime shortly before 9 p.m. at KY 17 (also Madison Pike) in front of Pioneer Park. At least one person is dead, Covington police say.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - With the federal eviction moratorium soon coming to an end, renters and landlords will soon lose protection on any bills yet to paid. However, the Kentucky Housing Corporation is still offering assistance for any unpaid rent and utilities. Federal eviction moratorium protection from the CDC has a deadline set for July 31 and an extension past this date has not been announced.
COVINGTON, Ky. (WXIX) - A new voucher system that goes into effect Tuesday will allow Covington residents to drop off yard waste, bulk items like furniture, and a limited number of tires for free at the Covington transfer station. The city said the program is the newest step in the ongoing efforts to work with Rumpke Waste & Recycling to improve the effectiveness of waste collection and keep Covington and its sidewalks clean.
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Seamus Power won the Barbasol Championship on Sunday for his first PGA Tour victory, beating J.T. Poston with a tap-in par on the sixth hole of a playoff. NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (AP) - J.T. Poston shot a bogey-free 6-under 66 on Friday to take the second-round lead in the PGA Tour´s Barbasol Championship. Poston had a 13-under 131 total at rain-soaked Keene Trace in the tournament that was delayed twice Thursday because of rain and lightning.
The Department of Natural Resources said rescue crews have recovered the body of a Kentucky man who drowned in Lake Lanier. DNR said Jeffrey McElfresh, 55, of Louisville, KY, was paddle boarding without a life jacket around 4:30 p.m. in the area of West Bank Park and the Buford Dam.
