The Welsh Government wants to make the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) the first new National Park in Wales since 1957, with local Member of the Senedd Ken Skates saying the move will help create sustainable jobs.

Ken Skates MS visited Corwen to discuss issues surrounding the farming industry FARMERS raised critical concerns for their industry with the Clwyd South MS at a recent farm visit with Farmers’ Union of Wales Meirionnydd County Chairman Edwin Jones and Union officials. The event, hosted by Mr Jones and his wife Eirian, at Ty Mawr, Carrog, Corwen, provided an opportunity to see the farm, which stretches from the banks of the river Dee to approximately 1500 feet above sea level.
