Go-Ahead admits to ‘serious errors’ over running of Southeastern trains

Train operator Go-Ahead Group has admitted to serious errors and failures in the way it ran the Southeastern rail franchise prior to it being taken over by the Government in October. The Department for Transport (DfT) stripped the company of the route after it failed to declare more than £25 million of taxpayer funding.

Go-Ahead group has admitted to serious errors and failings in the way it ran the Southeastern rail franchise. The company was stripped of its deal to operate routes in the region by the government last October. Back in September, transport secretary Grant Shapps said that since October 2014, Southeastern had not declared more than £25 million of historic taxpayer funding which should have been returned.
