First look at £31m redevelopment plans for Flintshire school site

Plans have been put forward to redevelop a Flintshire secondary school site at an estimated cost of £31m. Flintshire Council wants to create a combined primary and secondary school campus at Argoed High School in Mynydd Isa, near Mold. Existing buildings would be demolished under the proposals to make way for Ysgol Mynydd Isa primary school to relocate to the Argoed site.

Nearly 2,500 new cases of coronavirus were recorded across the country Another four people have died from Covid-19 in North Wales, according to Public Health Wales. The latest fatalities mean that 1,027 people have now died from the virus in the Betsi Cadwaladr area. Nationally, six new deaths were recorded across Wales - including the four in North Wales - bringing the total to 5,837.

Breaking POLICE have warned motorists to avoid a stretch of road in Flintshire following a crash. Traffic log INRIX reports that the A550 is partially blocked, with queueing traffic as a result of an accident between the A55 J35 (Dobbs Hill) and A549 Dirty Mile. A spokesman for North Wales Police said: "The A550 between the roundabout junction with the A55 and Dobshill roundabout is closed due to a road traffic collision.
