A derelict community centre which once hosted family celebrations has been demolished after becoming a target for vandals and arsonists. Leys Hall, in The Leys, Darlaston had become an eyesore, but matters escalated with a series of fire incidents as recently as Sunday. The centre owned by Old Hall Partnership was most recently used as a second hand furniture project for needy residents, but was previously a popular community building hired for weddings, christenings and parties.

Leys Hall in Darlaston has been an eyesore for many years, but matters have escalated with a fire started on Friday night. Firefighters were called out shortly before 9pm on April 8, with crews from Wednesbury and Willenhall sent to the scene.
