Mirabai Chanu: Weightlifter is 2021 BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year
Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu has won the BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year award for 2021, following a public vote. The Olympic silver medallist beat golfer Aditi Ashok, boxer Lovlina Borgohain, Para-shooter Avani Lekhara, and badminton player PV Sindhu to the award. Chanu became the first Indian weightlifter to win a silver medal at an Olympic Games, when she finished second in the 49kg category in Tokyo.

BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year nominees revealed
The nominees for the third edition of BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year have been announced. Lydia Ko shoots 63 to hold first-round lead at Gainbridge LPGA
