The global COVID-19 pandemic has not spared any country including Nigeria.
COVID-19 has caught many countries unaware including world powers such as the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
Countries with strong healthcare systems have struggled to deal with the virus.
In Nigeria, we have known for decades that our hospitals are far from the best in the world. When news of the pandemic first broke out, Nigerians were hoping and praying that we would be lucky with COVID-19 like we did in Ebola.
Coronavirus is in the country and we have witnessed how the Federal Government and state governments have dealt with the pandemic.
It has not been a smooth ride in Nigeria just like in other countries.
However, could our leaders have done better in the last 2 months if we are to use health care response, palliatives and security issues as yardsticks?
