Popular political activist, Deji Adeyanju has declared he was ready to turn number fan of the current Nigerian Chief Justice, Tank Muhammad, if the CJN can makes good his threat of jailing the Director General of the Department Of State Services, DSS, Yusuf Magaji Bichi over continued detention of Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore has spent over 50 days in the custody of the secret police after he was accused of plotting to overthrow President Muhammadu Buhari following his call for a revolution.
The former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, was reported to have met his bail condition after being granted bail by an Abuja Federal Court.
But he was yet to be released by the security outfit, prompting the CJN to issue a jail threat should the DSS boss not obey the court order.
Reacting in a tweet on Thursday, Mr. Adeyanju said he was ready to sing praises of the CJN if the DSS DG would end up imprisoned.
“If CJN Tanko can ensure the obedience of all court orders in Nigeria, I will become his number one fan. We welcome the attempt to imprison DG of DSS over disobedience of Court Order to release Sowore.” – Deji Tweeted.
