MOPOL Officer Arrested For Insulting Buhari, Osinbajo, Police IG on Social Media

The Yobe State Police Command have effected the arrest of one Sunday Japhet, a Police Officer for allegedly raining insults on the President, Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

According to reports by DAILY POST, Sunmonu Abdulmaliki, the Commissioner of Police in Yobe State on Wednesday confirmed the arrest.

The arrested police officer is said to be a part of the Mobile Police (MOPOL) and had bared his mind on the state of the nation on social media site, Facebook, on August 9.

On his Facebook page, Japhet had blasted the President and the Vice President claiming that they were not doing enough to fight against the rising insecurity and corruption in the country.

The Yobe State Commissioner of Police speaking on the issue was quoted as saying that the Police officer has been transferred to the Police Zone 12 headquarters situated in Bauchi.
