A former Minister of Aviation in the country Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has just given a reaction on the arrest of Omoyele Sowore, the Presidential Candidate of the Action Alliance Congress (AAC) and front leader of the planned national protest slated to take place in the country on August 5th, 2019.
The PDP chieftain in a tweet said that the detention of the young political activist was unkind, uncharitable, indefensible, unnecessary, uncalled for and regrettable.
He condemned the arrest which he termed as being carried out in a Gestapo-like manner as he called for the unconditional and immediate release of Sowore.
See his tweet below:
The arrest of @YeleSowore is uncharitable, unkind, unecessary, uncalled for, unsustainable, indefensible and regrettable. I condemn this fascistic and Gestapo-like action by the DSS against him and I call for his immediate and unconditional release. #FreeSoworeNow #RevolutionNow

Many have condemned the arrest of Sowore. Shehu Sani has spoken up against the act, saying that the Country’s democracy was floating ice on water, while the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2019 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had also condemned the arrest and the manner it was carried out.
