National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole has responded to the latest war-of-wards between him and his predecessor, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
Reacting, the APC national chairman said he would prefer if his predecessor addresses him directly, saying however that Oyegun is a respected leader of the ruling party
Oshiomhole, in a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Simon Ebegbulem, said he would have preferred Oyegun to address him directly.
Report have it gathers that the statement read: “I have no comment. Chief Oyegun is a respected leader of the party and an elder statesman.
“Comrade Oshiomhole has so much respect for him. If he really wants to address Oshiomhole, he can come out openly to address the man who succeeded him in office and not one Morphy.”
It had previously been reported that Chief John Odigie-Oyegun had asked Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to stop disgracing the APC and the people of Edo state.
The request came on the heels of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s recent press conference wherein he said he was indicted by the House of Representatives ad-hoc committee for not properly issuing a proclamation for the inauguration of the state Assembly.
Odigie-Oyegun, in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, July 21, by his public affairs adviser, Ray Morphy, accused Oshiomhole of godfatherism and anti-party activities.
