We don’t want you in PDP, Fani-Kayode tells slapping Senator Abbo

A Chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode has said the controversial Adamawa North Senator, Elisha Abbo, should be expelled by the main opposition PDP.

The call came shortly after the Senator who was caught on camera slapping a lady at an adult toy shop in Abuja apologised to the victim and the general public.

In a tweet by the former Minister of Aviation said the apology tendered by the Senator wasn’t enough to free him from prosecution.

“He needs to resign and he ought to be prosecuted. He should also be recalled by his constituents.”

Fani-Kayode also stated that the main opposition PDP needed to take serious action against the young slapping lawmaker to serve as a deterrent to others who are meant to be role model to others.

“He ought to be expelled by the @OfficialPDPNig.That boy is bad news: he is unrepentant, he is arrogant, he is a misogynist, he is a disgrace and he is not fit to hold power.”

Fani-Kayode said the PDP Senator had much in his hands that assaulting a lady at a shop demeaning to a senior Federal lawmaker, “He is evil,” he said.

“Sen. Elisha Ishaku ‘Dildo Sex Toys’ Abbo apologised but he still has more to do. Here is a young man whose people are being slaughtered by Fulani herdsmen in Adamawa and instead of representing them properly all he does is go to Abuja to patronise sexshops and beat up girls.”

The video where the Senator was caught slapping a shop attendant four times was released Premium Times on July 2, 2019, but the lawmaker said it was an old video.

The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), PDP and other Nigerians were unanimous in their reactions calling for the prosecution of the Adamawa born politician irrespective of when the incident happened.

Abbo was advised by the PDP presidential candidate in the 2019 election Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to publicly tender a public apology which he did on July 3.

His apology has also sparked another series of reactions on social media, saying he should be brought tried and punished for his actions.

The Senate, Nigeria Police said they are investigating while Nigerians submitted that there was nothing to investigate about as the much-circulated video clip is enough evidence.
