Nigerians Express Shock, Condemn INEC For Denying Existence Of Server

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have come under heavy attack from Nigerians following its denial of the existence of a server which contained all the uploaded results of the February 23 Presidential elections.

Yunus Usman, the counsel to INEC had on Thursday, told the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal that the server which was being requested for inspection by the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was not in existence.

β€œThey are asking us to bring something we do not have,” Mr Usman was quoted to have said.

The PDP along with Atiku had claimed that the results which they had obtained from the INEC server had an indication that he was victorious in the polls with a margin of over six million votes.

Nigerians have however taken to Twitter to react to INEC’s statement with many showing expressing disgust at claims made by INEC about the non-existence of a server.
