As events begin to unfold on the floor of the Senate with proceedings kicking off at about 10.00 am, its not starting off well for former Imo State governor and Senator-elect, Rochas Okorocha.
This is because with the roll-call being made by the Clerk of the National Assembly, his name was omitted. The roll call was read out by the Clerk of the House, Alhaji Mohammed Sani-Omolori.
This is despite the fact that a court of competent jurisdiction has declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission should without fail, present him with his Certificate-Of-Return.
Rochas Okorocha who is representing Imo West Senatorial district was noticed at the premises of the Federal Parliament and was sighted going into the annexe office of the Senate President at about 7:45 am.
Details are still sketchy as to whether Governor Rochas was invited or if he had received clearance from the Independent National Electoral Commission to partake of the inauguration.
PM News, however, reports that, at the time for accreditation, the former Governor of Imo State was not allowed to undergo accreditation with other National Assembly elects.
