Shehu Sani ‘Agrees’ With Fashola, Mentions States Experiencing Uninterrupted Power Supply As Nigerians React On Twitter

The Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani (PRP) has just given his own thoughts on certain claims which Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, made that a few states in the country are now experiencing the dividends of democracy in constant power supply.

Babatunde Fashola, who is a former Governor of Lagos State, made this claim on Wednesday while holding an interview with Channels Television.

“Sitting down here I can tell you some states that have almost 24 hours – Kebbi, Yobe. Some have five, some have 10 and there are still outages,” Fashola said.

He also claimed that the surge in power supply in some states is due to the increase in the transmission capacity, stating that the transmission capacity has increased to about 8,100 watts as of December 2018.

Reacting in a post on his Twitter handle, Senator Shehu Sani mocked the minister.

He wrote, “Some of the states that now enjoy 24 hours of electricity are Uranus, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn and Neptune.”
