UPROAR As Imolites Destroy Uche Nwosu’s Billboard, Sweeps Douglas Road In Owerri (Video)

Imolites destroy Rochas’s Son-in-law, Uche Nwosu’s billboard in Imo State as INEC is set to declare PDP’s Ihedioha winner of the governorship election.  ZENITHNAIJA also learnt the people of Owerri, are currently sweeping Douglas road, a major road that leads to the Douglas house (IMO State Government House)

The governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) Uche Nwosu has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withhold the declaration of the winner of the election until the constitutionally outlined provisions are fulfilled. See reactions below;

Nwosu, who addressed journalists via a telephone chat, noted the leading candidate, Emeka Ihedioha, to be declared a winner must have met the mandatory 25 percent votes in at least two-third in the number of Local Government Areas where the election held.

It would be recalled that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has claimed that it was not bothered by the defections of those loyal to the embattled Governors of Imo State and Ogun State resprctively, Governors Rochas Okorocha and Ibikunle AmosumThe party also noted that those defections were nothing to lose sleep about as their exit would not affect the chances of victory of the ruling party.

However, reacting to the development on behalf of the party’s national leadership headed by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling party, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu told Saturday Sun that the governors’

men placed individual interest above party and national interest, stressing that the party will react appropriately in due course.

While Akinlade along other Amosun’s supporters moved to Allied Peoples Movement, APM; Nwosu and others crossed to the Democratic People’s Party, DPP.

His words: “APC as a party is looking critically at that development and in due course take a position on it. However, in the interim, we will continue to encourage our members
not to be driven by selfish ambition but rather to be driven by higher ideals that the party represents.

The unprecedented achievements the party recorded in the past few years are pointers that members should rise above personal interestWe will also continue to encourage them to think deeply to the larger implications of their actions and inactions.
