VIDEO: Man United manage slim win over Leicester City

Manchester United held on to an early lead to beat Leicester City 1-0 in an English Premier League match on Saturday.

Marcus Rashford converted a penalty in the 8th minute after he was tripped by Caglar Soyuncu in the danger area.

Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi was in the starting lineup and a thorn in the flesh of his opponent from the midfield.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side went into the game knowing that they have failed to win any of their last three Premier League matches.

Meanwhile, Leicester made a bright start to the new campaign, beginning the season with draws against Wolves and Chelsea before beating Sheffield United and Bournemouth.

After a not-too-impressive first half, Leicester came out stronger in the restart and posed many threats to United.

But United held on to their 1-0 lead to claim their first victory in four matches.

Next up for United is their first Europa League group match against Astana on Thursday night, before travelling to West Ham United in the Premier League next Sunday. Leicester, meanwhile, will attempt to return to winning ways when they host Tottenham Hotspur on September 21.
