Real Madrid are currently on a rebuilding process as they hope to get back up from their awful performance last season. The Los Blancos have already added both Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard from Eintracht Frankfurt and Chelsea respectively to their squad.
But a new reports have it that Serie A giants, Inter Milan have reportedly offered Argentine striker Mauro Icardi to both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid when club officials, Piero Ausilio and Beppe Marotta flew to the Spanish capital last week.
The former Barcelona striker has been linked with a move to several big teams after falling out with Luciano Spalletti last season. He one of the best players in the Italian Serie A and will a good addition to the either of the Madrid side.
According to exclusive reports on Il Giornale, which was also confirmed by Sempreinter, the Inter duo of Ausilio and Marotta met with officials from the Los Merengues to discuss the potential sales of Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio, both of whom have been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in the summer.
It is understood that Icardi’s name was mentioned during the meeting, with the new manager Antonio Conte keen to sell him in the summer as he does not see him being a part of his plans as he looks to take the club forward.
Atletico Madrid will be the best option for the Argentine as the Rojiblancos will be without Antoine Griezmann next season who confirmed his exit from the club. The Argentine striker and his agent who is also his wife recently confirmed that he wants to stay at the Nerazzuri for the foreseeable future and would only move if he is being forced by the club amid reports that rivals Juventus are keen to secure his services.
The 26-year-old had a falling out with the club last season and while he was reintegrated into the squad, Conte is not keen to hold on to him which comes as a surprise considering that he has without a doubt been their best player over the past three years or so.
Conte was appointed as their new manager after going on clubless without club. It is reported that the former Chelsea wants several Real Madrid players to join his revolution at Inter. In Italy, they are reporting that he wants Welshman Gareth Bale, Lucas Vazquez, Nacho Fernandez and Mateo Kovacic to be signed this summer.
