Zidane set to strike again as Real Madrid prepares to announce third summer signing of 2019

Having already confirmed Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard as new arrivals, Real Madrid are being made to wait to announce the signing of Ferland Mendy. It had once seemed as though the French international would be the first of the three to be made official, but his International commitments are temporarily preventing him from finalizing his move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Mendy’s participation in France’s European Championship qualification has stood in the way of the move being completed, as he hasn’t been able to undergo the required medical examinations.

The transfer of Mendy will be wrapped up once the full-back is finished with France as he can then take his tests and sign his contract in Madrid. Only the results of a second medical are stopping Real Madrid from making Ferland Mendy their third major signing of the summer.
