Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has opted for the services of Harry Kane as against Lucas Moura who netted a hat trick in Sours’ final semis fixture to seal a place in the 2019 UEFA Champions League final.
In the absence of the Englishman who has been out of action since picking an injury against Man City back in April, Lucas Moura came to the party for the North London side with a hat trick in the semifinal, edging Ajax Amsterdam with a three-goal away advantage, following a 1-0 home defeat at Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Harry Kane has been Tottenham Hotspur’s best goal scorer for the past season, and this campaign, he has still been the best player, but in his absence, Lucas Moura has scored a hat trick twice, once in the Premier League and the second in the UEFA Champions League semifinal against Ajax.
Tottenham Hotspur make six changes to the patched-up side that limped home in the final Premier League match of the season in the 2-2 draw with Everton. Those six changes see key men return from injury and suspension including Harry Kane, Harry Winks, Son Heung-min and Jan Vertonghen as they join full-backs Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose replacing Kyle Walker-Peters, Ben Davies, Erik Lamela, Eric Dier, Fernando Llorente and semi-final hat-trick hero Lucas Moura.
A lot more simple for Liverpool. It’s the same side that defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 on the final day of the season, with the exception of forwards Roberto Firmino and Mohammed Salah, who missed the second leg comeback win against Barcelona, replaces Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri.
Every other player Jurgen Klopp named in his starting lineup in the all-important clash against Premier League rival Tottenham in the UEFA Champions League final is expected. Alisson, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum.
