Nominees for the Premier League Goal of the Season have been revealed on Wednesday afternoon, with 10 of the most incredible efforts throughout the just concluded 2018/19 campaign picked to be in contention for the award.
Chelsea star, Eden Hazard, who was awarded playmaker of the season and was nominated for Player of the Season, is among the favourites to win the award after his mazy solo effort in a 2-0 win over London rivals, West Ham United, made the nominations.
Another incredible solo effort nominated for the award is the one by Tottenham Hotspur forward, Heung-min Son, when raced past Jorginho and beat a defender before slotting past Kepa Arrizabalaga to put Spurs 3-0 up in a match the Lilywhites went on to win 3-1 back in November.
Also in contention for the award are departing Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, for his backheel in the 5-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage back in October, Andros Townsend’s first-time long-range volley in Crystal Palace’s dramatic 4-3 win at Manchester City, and Vincent Kompany’s crucial strike against Leicester City last Monday.
