On Thursday, she left her children namely Chimierie Nwafor, five years; Onyedika Nwafor, four years; and Esther Nwafor, three years, inside the shop and went out to sort some other businesses.

Fires are the accidents which occur most frequently, whose causes are the most diverse and which require intervention methods and techniques adapted to the conditions and needs of each incident. Each type of fire is the object of specific technical prescriptions as regards prevention, intervention and the behaviour of the population affected. It is also relevant to note that many fires have a criminal origin and that in times of armed conflict or crisis as well as of indirect wars (sabotage) human intervention also provokes major accidents.
Three children of the same mother were, this afternoon, killed in a fire accident along High Tension School Road, Ugwuagba-Obosi, Anambra State. Their mother, Blessing Nwafor, had left three of her children namely Chimierie, 5, Onyedika, 4, and Esther, 3, inside the container and stepped out before tragedy struck. The cause of the fire is not yet known but the charred remains of the victims have since been taken to Bex Hospital mortuary.
According to the police, the fire started around 2:15 pm inside two containers used as shop and apartment. Parents and guardians need to be very vigilant over their children. We are yet to ascertain how the fire came about but the damage remains unfixable as 3 innocent lives were lost in the process. What do you suggest should be done to avoid re occurrence of such tragic events.
