Big Fraud! The Igbos Told Me To Ignore You Buhari Tells Atiku

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buahri Friday said that the endorsement of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, carried no weight as he was advised by well-meaning leaders from the South East to disregard the endorsement.

President Buhari specifically said that the split within the Ohanaeze Igbo socio-cultural group over the reported endorsement of Abubakar, for the 2019 election did not surprise him.

Speaking at a meeting with a select group of South-east leaders led by the National Chairman of the United Progressive Party, UPP, Chief Chek was Okorie at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday, Buhari said that the moment the so-called resolution was announced, he got calls from well-meaning leaders from the region asking him to disregard it as it was without any substance.

In a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, the President said, “From that moment, I knew that the resolution would not stand, and alas, there it was.” President Buhari said that his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, got it right from the very beginning that the major problems facing the country were mainly on security, corruption and the economy.

“We have done so much. Given the chance, we will do more. Given every chance, we will tell Nigerians where we were in 2015 and what we have achieved up to now. “We will not get tired of speaking about the golden opportunity Nigeria lost during 16 years of the PDP. We earned money, which we didn’t use,” he said. “The state of infrastructure we inherited was terrible – no roads, the railway was killed and power. They lacked conscience because anybody with conscience will not do what they did. We will report them to Nigerians. Let anybody lead this country but not the PDP.

They were so reckless with the resources of the country,” the President said. “If you ruin the economy, send your children abroad to get education, won’t they come back?” he asked, adding: “I said it 30 years ago that this is the only country we have.

We must stay here and salvage it together.” The leaders of the delegation, Engineer Emeka Ekwuosa and the National Chairman of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Chief Chekwas Okorie, informed President Buhari that the Igbos and South-easterners generally understand the good things he is doing for Nigeria which they said, had unfortunately been misunderstood. They promised to mobilise support for him in the south-east, saying that his re-election will be a national consensus.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of five Chief Executive officers and two Executive Directors of some Federal Agencies.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by Mr Olusegun Adekunle, Permanent Secretary (General Services) Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Friday in Abuja.

Also, Prof. Victor Adetiloye, Chief Medical Director (CMD), Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, was re-appointed for the final term of four years with effect from Sept. 22. Buhari also approved the appointment of Amb. Abdul-Jalil Suleiman as the Director-General, Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa (DTCA), for an initial term of four years with effect from Sept. 17.

Also appointed was Dr Bassey Abasi as Chief Medical Director (CMD), University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, for an initial term of four years with effect from Sept. 22. Capt. Junaid Abdullahi was appointment as the Executive Secretary, Border Communities Development Agency (BDCA) with effect from Sept. 22 for an initial period of four years.

The president also appointed Mrs Mojoyi Dekalu-Thomas as Executive Director (Liability Management) of Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO) for an initial term of four years with effect from Sept. 20. Mrs Chinedum Olisakwe- Lawrence’s appointment was renewed as the Executive Director (Corporate Services) of Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO) for a second term of four years with effect from Sept. 20.

The President enjoined the appointees to regard their appointments as a call to National Service and to carry out their responsibilities with uprightness, diligence and prompt response to the yearnings of the public. He also charged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties.

Buhari was assigned to the 1st Division under the command of Lt. Col Mohammed Shuwa, the division had temporarily moved from Kaduna to Makurdi at the onset of the Nigerian Civil War. The 1st division was divided into sectors and then battalions with Shuwa assisted by sector commanders Martin Adamu and Sule Apollo who was later replaced by Theophilus Danjuma. Buhari’s initial assignment was as Adjutant and Company Commander 2 battalion unit, Second Sector Infantry of the 1st Division. The 2 battalion was one of the units that participated in the first actions of the war, they started from Gakem near Afikpo and moved towards Ogoja with support from Gado Nasko’s artillery squad. They reached and captured Ogoja within a week with the intention of advancing through the flanks to Enugu, the rebel capital.

Buhari was briefly the 2 battalion’s Commander and led the battalion to Afikpo to link with the 3rd Marine Commando and advance towards Enugu through Nkalagu and Abakaliki. However, before the move to Enugu, he was posted to Nsukka as Brigade Major of the 3rd Infantry Brigade under Joshua Gin who would later become battle fatigued and replaced by Isa Bukar. Buhari stayed with the infantry for a few months as the Nigerian army began to adjust tactics learnt from early battle experiences. Instead of swift advances, the new tactics involved securing and holding on to the lines of communications and using captured towns as training ground to train new recruits brought in from the army depots in Abeokuta and Zaria.

In 1968, he was posted to the 4 Sector also called the Awka sector which was charged to take over the capture of Onitsha from Division 2. The sector’s operations was within the Awka-Abagana-Onitsha region which was important to Biafran forces because it was a major source of food supply. It was in the sector that Buhari’s group suffered a lot of casualties trying to protect food supplies route of the rebels along Oji River and Abagana.

We Have Provided Enough Jobs In Nigeria, We Have Done Enough; APC Rages In Nigeria!

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture in this interview with TEMIDAYO AKINSUYI debunks the claim by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that he is diverting funds meant for his Ministry into President Muhammadu Buhari’ campaign for 2019. He also went ahead to explain how jobs has been provided by the APC and how there are no longer jobless youths in Nigeria.

The PDP is now suddenly frightened by the success of this programme. That is the honest truth. When this programme started in 2015, PDP thought it was impossible to achieve. Today, this programme comprises of four major components.

There is the School feeding programme. Today, this programme feeds nine million, three hundred thousand pupils, one meal per day. It covers 26 states, about 60, 000 primary schools and in the process, it has employed over 97,000 cooks”.

So, the PDP is definitely frightened by the success. A government that feeds nine million, three hundred thousand pupils in every school day and in the process, employs over 97,000 cooks is a government that has left an indelible mark in the sands of time. The fall-out of this is that every week, 594,000 cows are slaughtered to feed these children. Every week, these children consume 6.8 million eggs. So, through this programme, jobs are being provided for farmers. This is the major reason why PDP is frightened and yet that is just one aspect of the social investment programme.

How is this progamme funded?

This programme is funded by budgetary provisions. Every year, we went to the National Assembly to get provision for this programme. The second tranche of this social investment programme is the N-power, which as I speak today has employed about 500,000 unemployed graduates. Again, none of these programmes started yesterday. They all started in 2015, 2016. The third component of the social investment programme is the Conditional Cash Transfer which today services about 297,000 most vulnerable and poorest households in some states of the federation, because it is a pilot programmed that we are running. With this programme, the sum of N5,000 is given every month to about 297,000 most vulnerable and poorest families in Nigeria. The fourth component is the Government Enterprises Empowerment Programmed (GEEP).

In the area of power, we inherited 2,900 MWs of power; today we are generating more than 7,000 MW of power. Of course we are unable to transmit all the power because of the state of the transmission line, and don’t forget that even that power had been largely privatised even before we came in and we had been able to give support. We guaranteed N702 billion revolving loan that if you produce, we pay and that is why you have seen this exponential increase in power supply. So, I do not see any area where we cannot say we have not made progress

Bomb Dropped; Lai Mohammed Reveals Where Funds To Sponsor Buhari Election Is Coming From!

Excerpts:

The PDP, through its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan has accused you of diverting funds budgeted for your Ministry into President Buhari’s reelection. How true is this claim?

I usually don’t respond to the PDP because they really don’t have anything tangible to say. I think the PDP is just waking up to the realisation that they can’t win this election if the campaigns are based on issues. Our Social Investment Programme didn’t start last year. It didn’t even start in 2016. It started right from day one when we came to office.

This Social Investment Programme is the most apolitical programme of any government you can ever find. As a matter of fact, the truth of the matter is that APC politicians and appointees are very unhappy with the scheme because it does not follow the normal line of political patronage. People involved in this programme are completely apolitical. You apply online and if you are successful, you are chosen. There is no way it can be manipulated. At a point in time, some political appointees complained that you don’t do this. But the Vice- President and his team insisted that it is a social investment programme and it must be apolitical.

This is made of three tranches. There is the market money, trader money and farmers money. Between them, they have benefited 1.1 million as cooperatives and individuals. These are programmes that are well advertised and Nigerians know about. So, how can some people now turn around to say that we are using government money for politics as PDP have claimed? When we started this programme, they never gave us a chance.

Between TradersMoni, FarmersMoni and MarketMoni, we have touched the lives of about 1.1 million Nigerians. How can PDP now start complaining that we are using government money for politics? These are visible programmes that are well advertised. The Vice-President has been on the roads in the last three years inaugurating these things. We advertised our school feeding programmes, those benefiting from it are both PDP and APC states. We don’t make any distinction between the children.

All the children are Nigerians, our children. So, how can anybody wake up in the night and say it is being funded with Ministry’s funds? The PDP know they debate us on issues. We have touched the lives of so many people. A government that feeds a minimum of nine million, three hundred and sixty four children everyday is not a government that you can toy with. So, that is why the PDP is afraid. They are jittery. The average students doesn’t care who is providing the meals for him in school.

Looking at the polity right now, would you say your party has fulfilled its electoral promises to the people?

We were very categorical that we were going to address three areas of governance; we are going to fight corruption; we are going to fight insecurity and we are going to revamp the economy. I can say, with all sense of modesty, that we can beat our chest that we have delivered in all those areas.

Straight From ASo Rock! Buhari Reveals How He Will Control the Threats In The Country!

President Buhari Has finally hit the solution to the threats that will be facing the country during the 2019 elections and has launched a band.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday launched the Buhari Unity Band, an idea he said was meant to keep Nigeria united as it inched toward the 2019 general elections.

The launch is coming three days to the November 18, 2018 date set by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the formal opening of campaigns for the 2019 general elections, in which Buhari is running as the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

BUB, a collection of the President’s wristbands, was initiated by the Good Governance Ambassadors of Nigeria, a Buhari support group.

The President, while launching the wrist bands at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, expressed concerns about the growing threats in the country in the build-up to the polls.

He stated that his administration was committed to keeping Nigeria together.

“By the grace of God, we shall remain strong and united,” the President told the session.

The President continued, “Our country has passed through difficult times, on occasions threatening the foundations of our unity, but with the help of God, we have always emerged from each crisis stronger.

“There is no doubt that we still have pockets of issues that question our unity but we are convinced that, with the determination of all Nigerians, we shall remain strong and united.

“The Buhari Unity Band is a visual and token symbol of our resolve to live in unity as one and to preach the message of unity wherever we live.

“Those who subscribe to the unity wristband will be known as Nigerian Unity Ambassadors. You will be building on the legacy of a number of our patriots who have, in the past, sacrificed so much, some even their lives, in defence of our nation.”

The Chairman and National Coordinator of GOGAN, Mr Felix Idiga, spoke of alleged “malicious” plans by the opposition to cause confusion during the polls.

Idiga explained that BUB was initiated to counter the plans of the opposition and promote unity among Nigerians.

He did not elaborate on the said plans by the opposition.

But, Idiga condemned what he called “senseless looting” of the country’s resources by the political class.

He noted that in looting the treasury, politicians were usually united and buried their religious and tribal differences.

“When they (looters) are picked to face the wrath of the law, they cry marginalisation and begin to fan the flames of disunity and unrest in the country”, Idiga further alleged.

On BUB, he said Nigerians who wore them believed in the unity of the country, which was promoted by Buhari.

He spoke more, “Our ultimate goal is to make all Nigerians peace ambassadors of our country by uniting them with the national outlook for excellence in visual identification symbol.

“It is a symbol with a loud declaration by Nigerians; a slogan which says, ‘no to united looters, yes to a united Nigeria.”‘

Among the patrons of GOGAN are the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Chief Arthur Eze and Mr Mamman Daura.

Tinubu, who was represented at the event by Senator Kabiru Gaya, doubled as the chairman of the occasion.

APC Orders PDP To Back Off Or Get What Is Coming For THem

ABUJA – Days after the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP accused the ruling All Progressives Congress APC of being the originator of fake news in Nigeria and elevating it as a statecraft, the APC has now reacted, accusing the PDP of behaving like a “crybaby”, and spewing falsehoods daily.

In a statement Wednesday in Abuja, National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu said the ruling party supports ongoing global media attention and efforts to check the proliferation of fake news particularly as the country gears up for campaigns ahead of the 2019 elections APC said the consequences of fake news are often dire as it inflames perceived divisions in communities, fuels hate speech, leads to violence and distorts democratic processes, among others.

“Disturbingly”, APC said “the country’s main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its discredited agents, have continued to deploy the loathsome strategy of fake news, misinformation and distortion of facts as focal campaign strategies for the 2019 elections”. Speaking further, the ruling party said; “While the APC is not surprised at the PDP’s typical theatrics in an attempt to evade scrutiny for its 16 years of misgovernance, it is instructive to the electorate that no lessons have been learnt by the prodigal party.

It is indeed clear to the electorate that the PDP is not a party to either be trusted or taken seriously as it has missed out on the opportunity to apologise and show remorse for the cruelty it wrought on our country while in power. What we witness instead is its weekly disgraceful and embarrassing shadow chasing through fake news and spurious allegations. PDP cannot pull the wool over the eyes of the good people of this country. It can cry wolf for all it cares, Nigerians won’t be deceived. PDP remains a damaged product showing no regret for its retrogressive old practices which brought the country to its knees in terms of our infrastructure, economy, security, values and standing among nations of the world.

“Instead of engaging the electorate on serious issues of development such as health, education, economy, foreign policy, security, corruption, pension, job creation, infrastructure development among others, the PDP and its agents have chosen to populate the mainstream and social media space with ludicrous fake news and infantile conspiracy theories, moving from one absurdity to another. “While the PDP ups its game as a crybaby, the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration is busy building a new Nigeria for our collective progress, peace, unity and prosperity.

We are restoring our country to its deserved standing among the comity of progressive nations; fighting corruption and repairing our value system, diversifying our economic revenue base, creating jobs and economic opportunities for Nigerians, particularly the poor; bringing succor to the insurgency-ravaged North-East; reforming the oil industry, power, defence, pensions, and other critical sectors; creating a world-class transportation system, amongst others”. The PDP had recently asked the APC to apologize to Nigerians for riding to power using propaganda, accusing the ruling party of being the harbinger of fake news.

Donald Duke Offers Shocking Warning To Nigerians, Advice Against………..

Former Governor of Cross River state, Donald Duke has warned Nigerians not to replace failure with past failure in the forthcoming election.

Donald Duke, who is the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party(SDP) informed Nigerians that both the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) have nothing to offer Nigerians other than expanding and creating more problems.

Duke, who was a PDP member and flew on the party’s platform to become governor twice, said this in a tweet on Sunday. According to him, Nigerians must flush out these parties and their elements, to make room for a new team of ‘fixers and builders’.

In his words
We must not replace current failure with past failure.

The APC and PDP have nothing to offer Nigeria other than the creation and expansion of problems.

We must get rid of the both of them to make room for a new team of fixers and builders.

Spearheading the incumbent debt of Nigeria, Duke pushed for democracy and against military control. He stated; “What got the military out of power was not democracy but the dreadful state of the economy. If we, the democratic government, cannot deliver food for the mass of people we can forget about democracy.”

Duke received praises for his contributions to the fields of agriculture, urban development, government, environment, informationand communication, investment drive, and tourism and making Calabar the cleanest city in Nigeria.

He initiated the Obudu Ranch International Mountain Race which attracted contestants and visitors from other countries.  In 2005, he created a special reserve fund for the state meant to ‘‘hedge against economic downturn, and the inevitable rainy day’’. This was meant to cushion the effect of unforeseeable economic challenges that may occasion uncertainty in the state’s Internally generated revenue, as well as monthly allocation from the federal government.

He also initiated the Calabar Carnival which started in 2004 and is popularly referred to as “Africa’s biggest street party.”

Donald Duke initiated the Tinapa Resort project as a way to boost business and tourism in the state. Over $350 million was spent on initial development before phase 1 opening in April 2007. BBC reported in September 2006 that Governor Duke was the only governor specifically mentioned as not being under investigation by the federal Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Four other governors were also reported as not under investigation but their names were not released.)

Donald Duke announced that he would run for the presidency in the 2007 presidential election, but stepped aside in favour of the eventual winner, Umaru Yar’Adua.

On 8th June 2018, Donald Duke declared interest in running for presidency in 2019 with media at the top of the decision publicity.

On Tuesday, 4th September, 2018, Donald Duke after much silence as to what party he’ll be running under for president, announced that he’ll be leaving PDP and run under SDP

Attention! INEC Speaks, 2019 Election Is A………

The National Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has attributed the high cost of conducting elections to prevailing insecurity in most parts of the country and called for peaceful coexistence amongst Nigerians.

The INEC National Commissioner in charge of Benue, Enugu and Anambra states, Mr Festus Okoye, said this on Saturday in Makurdi during an interaction with leaders of political parties, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and the Media.

He acknowledged that though such huge deployment of security personnel during elections helped in stabilising the electoral process, it was also capital intensive.

Okoye, a civil society activist, called on the stakeholders to mobilise the electorate against electoral violence and general insecurity in the country. He said the commission was working hard to ensure Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) living in various camps are not disenfranchised. “The conditions of the IDPs are horrible, no Nigerian deserve to live in a camp.

I call on all including the media to mobilise the people against insurgency. No matter how bad their conditions are, we will make sure they vote during the elections. “We are working with State Emergency Management Agencies (SEMA) to capture their details. All registered IDPs will vote,” he assured. He said no Nigerian that has attained voting age that possessed a valid voter card would be denied the right to exercise their franchise. “It is only through voting that they can take ownership of the electoral process by voting those they want.”

He called on the electorate to check their names in the ongoing display of voters register to avoid omissions and spelling errors. He also warned political parties to avoid wrong substitution of candidates’ names, saying only list of candidates duly signed by party chairmen and secretaries will be accepted by the commission. Okoye appealed to parties to respect their internal democratic principles to avoid litigations after party primaries and assured that efforts had been intensified to ensure the credibility of the polls

INEC Reveals Breath Taking Method That Will Stop Election Malpractice!

ABA—AHEAD of the 2019 general elections,  the electorate and political party agents have been  urged to ensure that original documents of the Independent National Electoral Commission , INEC, are used for the elections.

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting, Wednesday, at Osisioma Ngwa Council, Electoral Officer for the Council, Mr. Chijioke Ude said INEC original result sheets are customised and bear serial numbers, stressing that party agents must identify the original result sheet from fake ones.

He explained that voters should look  out for the serial numbers in the original result sheet as they are customised for particular polling units and should not be moved from their respective polling units. Representatives of various political parties at the meeting urged INEC to conduct free, fair and credible elections in 2019.  Ezeji Ukaegbu of All Progressives Congress, APC,  urged INEC to call a meeting to sensitise, warn and take other steps to stop candidates and their parties from winning at all cost.

“We are not the ones that cause trouble or mobilize the youth or buy weapons to arm them to fight other politicians. It is the contestants who do all these to win elections at all cost.  So, we are urging INEC to invite these candidates to a meeting and do all that is possible to stop them from seeking elective positions at all cost if INEC wants 2019 elections to be free,”he said.

Representative of the Peoples Democratic  Party, PDP, at the meeting, Mrs Rose Aguwa,  urged candidates to get prepared to congratulate the winner of the election as former President Goodluck Jonathan did in 2015, stressing that only a candidate can win at a time. While advising INEC to move into the rural areas to distribute PVCs, Chief Isaac Ufomba of the PDP,  explained that  it would be hard to expect elderly people in the hinterlands to come to the local council headquarters to collect PVCs.
