BOKO HARAM ATTACKS! Do not let the insurgent attack spread to other parts of the region, it will be very bad, Religious leaders plead with government, security operatives

The Co-Chairman of Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, Bishop Sunday Onuoha, has spread the allarm that the Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East may spread to Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa and Taraba states in no time.

He added that the spread could lead to the displacement of thousands of people in the states.

Onuoha made the call at the 2nd IDFP General Assembly in Abuja yesterday, stating that the security challenges facing the country, including kidnapping in the South-West, armed robbery and militancy in the South-East, and South-South needed to be urgently addressed.

The cleric said the perceived lopsidedness in the leadership of the security forces should be addressed, pointing out that the security situation during the 2015 elections was not as bad as it is today.

He said, “In Borno and Yobe states, the Boko Haram insurgency has taken a dangerous dimension, leading to increasing loss of soldiers and policemen. This sad situation could spread to states like Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa and Taraba leading to the displacement thousands of people who will seek refuge in the overcrowded Internally Displaced Persons camps.”

The Bishop urged the faith community to pray for the success of the forthcoming elections and peace in the country.

Onuoha said, “We have built more powerful individuals while our institutions remain weak. Those who have presented themselves for elective positions should be willing to accept the outcomes of the elections.”

REVEALED! Africa Scores Highest As The Number of Persecuted Christians Increased in 2018

A rather disturbing revelation has been made regarding Christianity in the world today. According to a Protestant NGO, one in nine Christians is persecuted in the world. Africa is the continent most affected by this violence, even though the country in the world where Christians are the most persecuted is North Korea.

Assassinations, attacked churches, daily pressure: The persecutions of Christians in the world rose in 2018 for the sixth year in a row, says the NGO Doors Open on the occasion of the publication of its annual “index” on January 16th.

This Protestant organization follows the situation in 50 countries where Christians experience both violence and sometimes even murder, but also oppression or discrimination on a daily basis, more discreetly.

A total of 245 million Christians – Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants, Baptists, Evangelicals, Pentecostals, Christian expats, converts – are persecuted, or “one in nine Christians,” according to the organization, while a year ago, this figure reaching 1 out of 12.

The number of Christians killed rose from 3,066 to 4,305 between November 2017 and October 2018, an increase of 40%. “The index reveals a persecution against Christian minorities that is growing year by year. In 2018 it continues, “writes Michel Varton, director of Portes Ouvertes.

“What is striking is that Africa has become the home of violence against Christians, with 4,165 killed.” Nigeria alone has 3,731 deaths on its soil [against 2,000 in 2017], he says with AFP.

This country faces a double threat, that of the jihadist group Boko Haram which is “more and more violent”, and that of “Peul herders, who descend to the south of the country and systematically attack the Christian villages”.

However, it is North Korea, which is again, as in previous years, at the top of this annual ranking, even if it is not possible to know, for lack of “reliable data”, the number of died in this country. The NGO notes that “tens of thousands of Christians [are] locked up in forced labor camps”.

Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya, Pakistan, Sudan, Eritrea, Yemen, Iran, India and Syria are all countries classified as “extreme persecution” by the NGO.

Churches closed in Algeria

The NGO estimates that “Islamic extremism,” from “Africa to the Middle East to Asia,” is “in 38 of the 50 countries in the index, an important factor in persecuting Christians.”

Other figures in this index: in one year, “the number of targeted churches closed, attacked, damaged, burned … nearly doubled, from 793 to 1,847”, while “the number of Christians detained passes from 1,905 to 3,150 “in the same period.

Among the countries on which the NGO intends to alert public opinion is Algeria, where “since November 2017, committees representing the Algerian authorities visit the churches of the EPA [Protestant Church of Algeria] under the pretext of sanitary inspection. , bringing closure of many of them, “she says.

“We are still living in a situation where maybe tomorrow [they] come with an order to close the church,” AFP Youssef Ourahmane, an Algerian pastor and vice president of the EPA, told AFP. targeted by several assassination attempts because of his religion. “They want to choke us. We always put in fear.

The NGO also points to China, which “abuses religious freedom” and where the situation has “deteriorated”: in this country, which has 100 million Christians, “the state persecution was up to last year still circumscribed to certain provinces “but it” is now becoming a national phenomenon “. In total, the number of Christian detainees and targeted churches in China has increased tenfold in one year.

Open Doors, a partner of Open Doors International [which operates in 60 countries], also warns that its figures, which only concern assassinations “proven certain” on the basis of information cross-referenced, are “below the reality”.

Step By Step on How to Prayer the Rosary Prayer

What is the holy rosary prayer?

They are often used to count prayers. Outwardly, they look like beads on a string with a cross. The beginning of the use of this item was laid by St. Basil the Great. They were used by illiterate monks who couldn’t pray with books, but by a certain number of Jesus prayers. It did not carry any other meaning in itself.

According to a popular monk, “there are some motors that run with a rope with a handle at the end; so when you want to start the engine, you take the rope and pull it with force several times until the frozen oil disperses. Likewise, the rosary is a rope, for which we pull one, two, five, ten times; the oil disperses and the spiritual engine of the unceasing prayer is launched, so that then the heart itself works in prayer.”

The first Orthodox rosary appeared in the IV century. It was introduced into the prayer practice of Pachomius the Great. Their main purpose was practical: in ancient times, not all monks could count, therefore, to help them fulfill the monastic rule, which provides for many repeated prayers, it was thought up to use rosaries. Each ball corresponds to a single prayer, therefore constantly counting the number of times you need to read a prayer is no longer required. The monks enthusiastically embraced this innovation, because it made it possible to free the mind and pray more selflessly.

This church tradition has come down to our days and now during monastic vows, the monks receive rosaries for performing prayers.

How to pray the holy rosary?

In modern spiritual practice there is no strict rule about how to pray on the rosary. The main prayer, which is read when using the rosary, is considered the Jesus prayer.

In monasticism they are also called the spiritual sword. They are given to the monk during the tonsure for unceasing prayer and from dispelling the mind. They can also be used for special prayer rules. It consists of a certain number of Jesus prayers. In this case, they are read with a certain blessing.

The use of rosaries for ordinary people is possible only after the blessing of the spiritual father. And only in the form of a reminder of unceasing prayer.

Before starting to read prayer words, it is necessary to know how to pray according to the rosary of the Orthodox:

To hold a prayer with its use is better alone.

The prayer on the rosary may include inserts of other prayers.

It is imperative to receive the blessing of the spiritual father before starting such a practice.

You can also compare the similarity of the rosary with the knots that were imposed on Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was bound, brought to lawless court, and then shamefully executed.

There are certain rules of how to pray according to the rosary, but are no special prayers for it. It is rather a reminder of the need to read a prayer. But there are also certain church traditions that are associated with prayer on the rosary.

Before you start using it for prayer, you should ask the priest for blessings. Praying is quite simple. Each bead is one prayer. Pinch a bead between two fingers and read a prayer from the bottom of your heart.

What prayers to read?

It happens that large and small beads are strung on a string. Basically between 2 large there can be 10 small. If this is the case, then you can read the “Symbol of Faith”, “Our Father” and the rest – 10 prayers. But mostly, it depends on your choice.

The meaning of repeated repetition of prayer words is to ponder over their meaning and to come into contact with the Lord through prayer. Prayer is an evil destroyer, after using which it is easier to grow something useful and good in your soul.

What are the differences between the rosary types?

Orthodox rosaries are small balls of stone, wood, leather or other material woven from threads or strung on a thread. This is an important difference between Christian rosaries, for example, from Muslim ones, where there is no cross. The number of balls on a rope can be different 10, 50, 100 or even 33 – according to the number of earthly years of the Savior’s life.

The choice of the rosary should be approached with full responsibility and purchased only in Orthodox church shops or monasteries, because besides Christians there are other rosary types.

Earlier, Sheik Jalingo had made an allegation saying that Christians are perpetrating criminal acts in order to to bring disrepute to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kadzia said the ongoing culture of silence is confirmation that Muslim clerics are above the laws in Nigeria The inspector general of police, Ibrahim Idris, has been urged by the former national president, Youth Wing of the Christians Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Daniel David Kadzia, to arrest Sheikh Jalo Jalingo, over his hate speech against Christians. According to The Guardian, Kadzia made the call following Jalingo’s sermon which he delivered at Dubli Central Mosque on Friday, January 11, in which the cleric reportedly accused Christians of been behind the killings, kidnappings and hardship in the country. gathers that in a statement released on Monday, January 14, Kadzia said the acclaimed battle against hate speech should be stopped if the police and the Department of State Services fail to arrest the cleric.

Kadzia, who is the national president of the Coalition of Christians Groups for Good Governance in Nigeria and Diaspora (COCGOG), stressed that the country’s unity was being threatened by hate speech.

Jalingo, during the sermon, reportedly alleged that criminal activities are being perpetrated by Christians in order to discredit the Muhammadu Buhari administration and pave way for Atiku Abubakar.

The cleric had reportedly added that CAN was only sponsoring hate campaigns to discredit Buhari and that there was no insurgency in the north-east.

However, Kadzia challenged Jalingo to mention one Christian Boko Haram terrorist or herdsmen who have been arrested.

He said: “The endorsement of President Buhari by a terrorist group called Miyetti Allah is a confirmation that the killer groups are operating under the cover of government.”

He added that the ongoing culture of silence is a confirmation that Muslim clerics are above the laws in Nigeria.

He said security agencies would not have any reason to harass Christians over alleged hate speech.

He said: “This country does not belong to either only Muslims or Christians, because there are others who do not belong to both religions.

But, if Buhari’s government thinks that Muslims clerics are above the law, then he is making a regrettable mistake.”

In the interest of national peace and unity, Kadzia called on good Muslims to condemn Jalingo’s divisive speech.

He pointed out that Muslims and Christians voted for Buhari as president of Nigeria in 2015, and not as a Northern leader, and faulted Jalingo’s support for Buhari against another.

Meanwhile, previously reported that Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state was warned against prosecuting the founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) gave the warning in a statement by its spokesman, Pastor Bayo Oladeji.

He said in part: “Any attempt to arrest and harass any of our pastors again will be considered an attempt to silence the voice of the church and reasoning in our nation.

Let the government define clearly the difference between what is considered hate speech and advocacy for dying victims of continuous killings in Nigeria.”

CAN exempt Buhari in National prayer for all Christian candidate

The Christian Association of Nigeria held prayer sessions for the success of next month’s general elections. It also prayed for all Christians contesting for various posts, that the will of God be done concerning their ambition.

Beyond the elections, the Christian body asked members to pray for God to bring an end to the killings in the country as well as to rescue those still in captivity of Boko Haram terrorists.

Speaking with reporters after the prayers in Abuja, the CAN President, Rev. Samson Ayokunle, asked the youths to come out en masse to vote.

He also urged the youths to shun politicians who may want to use them as thugs during the elections.

In a statement last week, the group had declared January 10 a day of national prayers.

SAD NEWS as Popular Archbishop drowns during baptism

Although Latin-rite Catholics are usually baptized by infusion (pouring), they know that immersion (dunking) and sprinkling are also valid ways to baptize. Fundamentalists, however, regard only baptism by immersion as true baptism, concluding that most Catholics are not validly baptized at all.

A South African archbishop identified as, Andries Moeti drowned during a baptism, leading to the death of the 36-year-old cleric. The leader of New Heaven Apostolic Church in Marobjane Village, Limpopo, South Africa drowned in front of church members who were queueing up to be baptised. When people realised the archbishop had been under water for a while, they screamed for help as they were afraid to go in and rescue him.

Although the New Testament contains no explicit instructions on how physically to administer the water of baptism, Fundamentalists argue that the Greek word baptizo found in the New Testament means “to immerse.” They also maintain that only immersion reflects the symbolic significance of being “buried” and “raised” with Christ (see Romans 6:3-4).

They realised the archbishop had been under water for a while, they screamed for help as they were afraid to go in and rescue him. His mum, Elisa Moeti (60), told Daily Sun it was hard for church members and his family to accept Andries’ death.

“We are still shocked because he always went to the stream to pray and baptise people. He would go into the water for a minute before letting his congregants go in for prayers. “I believe his death was God’s will because those who were there when he drowned told us the incident was mysterious,” said Elisa.

His dad, James Seshoka (57), said it was a sad moment when the search and rescue unit recovered his body from the water. Church members were fainting and crying. ”If You Want To Be Rich In 2019, Stop Listening To Adeboye, Oyedepo And The Likes Of Them”- Daddy Freeze

Controversial OAP and leader of the Free the Sheeple Movement, Daddy Freeze is at it again. he has dropped some tips he believes will help Nigerians attain wealth as the year 2019 unfolds. He took to his Instagram page to react to the recently released Forbes list of Africa’s Richest Bilionaires.

According to Freeze, Aliko Dangote and Mike Adenuga who made the first and second cut on the list, do not pay tithes to any pastor or give first fruits to churches. He advised Christians not to listen to the messages of the likes of RCCG general overseer, Pastor E. Adeboye or Winners Chapel founder Bishop David Oyedepo, if they want to be rich this year. Read what he wrote below

Once again those prosperity pastors misled you….

Where is the prosperity in the land, if we overtook India as the poverty capital of the world and our billionaires became poorer and fewer?
Mike Adenuga was one of the only billionaire that became richer last year and he neither pays tithes nor gives first fruit. In the same vein, the man at the top spot, Aliko Dangote also doesn’t tithe to pastors or churches and neither does he give first fruit.

However, both of Nigeria’s richest men are EXTREMELY CHARITABLE, giving a lot to support the poor, weak and the sick.
It has been shown to us repeatedly by verifiable statistics and empirical studies, that the god of the prosperity doctrine Pentecostals cannot bless anyone with anything except poverty, hardship and sorrow.
