Happy birthday my little angel. 🍭🎂🎉

A post shared by jude okoye (@judeengees) on

The girl named Emmanuella just clocked four years. The happy father of the beautiful girl took to his Instagram page to celebrate her. He shared a picture of the little lady standing in front of a lovely cake used to mark her day. Then he went ahead to write a lovely caption of her which reads thus: “Happy birthday my little angel.” Paul Okoye, who has since maintained a relationship with Jude, also sent Emma birthday wishes. Sharing a picture of her in a yellow attire, the singer whose stage name is Rude Boy added these words. “Happy blessed birthday to you princess emma okoye. May God continue to bless you as you grow.”

While these messages are expected from the likes of Jude and Paul, what came as a shock to many was that Peter Okoye also congratulated the lady. Taking to his Instagram page, Peter shared an adorable picture of the girl and also went on to celebrate her with a beautiful caption: “Happy 4th Birthday Emma. Glow as you Grow.” The reason for the surprise his wishes to Emma generated is not far-fetched. Ever since the breakup between Peter Okoye and his twin brother Paul, he has not been on good terms with the rest of the family. His elder brother Jude Okoye has, severally, expressed his disapproval of Peter’s move to break ties with the family. On one occasion, he referred to him as a prodigal son.

Tiwa Savage In Huge Trouble As More Evidences Come Out Against Her In Music Theft

Musicians don’t get their due credit in the Nigerian music industry and it is fundamental that big name celebrities give them acknowledgment for the development of the sector.  Tiwa Savage’s most recent single, ‘One’ is an ideal method to end what has been an astonishing year for the artiste and she has now uncovered that the melody was a blessing composed by the up and coming ability, Wale Turner. But it seems that the singer has landed in trouble for her new release.

On Thursday, November 15, Tiwa Savage shared her new single, ‘One’, the emotional record that has the singer showing gratitude for all that has come her way this year became an instant favourite among her fans. The Mavin diva has however taken to her Instagram page to reveal the identity of the person who wrote the song. In a message shared late on Sunday, November 18, Tiwa posted, ”waleturner thank you for blessing me with this song.”

Upcoming musician, Danny Young had taken to social media to call out Mavin queen, Tiwa Savage for allegedly stealing his lyrics for her new song, “One.” According to the young singer, Tiwa Savage lifted some of his lyrics in his song ‘Oju Twon’ to make up her song ‘One’. “I never knew I would be a victim of intellectual property theft until now. The worst pain is that my song was stolen by Tiwa Savage who happens to be one of my favourite female artists,” the singer wrote.

And from the video he shared, fans noticed the similarities in their verses. However, while many people insist that it wasn’t intellectual theft as the verse was taken from a Yoruba proverb, others added that the Mavin queen included more lines beyond the said proverb.  Well, the case is getting hotter as Danny Young has reportedly dragged Tiwa Savage to court, few weeks after he called out the Mavin’s act over the alleged intellectual property theft. In a new post he shared on Instagram, Danny Young who disclosed that engaged one Justin Ige in the court case wrote; “Me no dey worry. Me and my guys kuku dey enjoy our seafood dey go as we don engage the one and only Justin Ige of Creative Legal for legal representation on the matter. Say no to copy copy! #case loading..”

Breaking: Jonathan, Dan Etete In Fresh Trouble As EFCC Receives Experts’ Report on Malabu Oil Deal

The Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has given assurances that the Commission is revving up its investigations into the Malabu oil scandal, and those found culpable will be prosecuted in line with the law.

Magu gave the assurance while receiving some documents from the President, Resource for Development Consulting, Dr. Don Hubert, on Thursday at the EFCC Headquarters, Abuja, a statement from the commission’s Acting Head of Media and Publicity, Tony Orilade, said.

Hubert, an extractive industries analyst, analysed the terms and conditions for the sale of the controversial Oil Prospecting Lease, OPL 245, otherwise known as Malabu Oil Block, to Shell and Eni.

In the report, Hubert, pointed out that at least one third of the value of the oil block, which comes from fiscal concessions in the 2011 Resolution Agreement, RA, between Nigeria and the operators of the block, essentially takes away oil profit from the government and the Nigerian people.

While receiving the report, Magu promised to ensure that it was thoroughly dealt with.

“We shall constitute a committee to digest it so that investigation can be extended to all grey areas and charges brought or amended against the suspects accordingly”, Magu was quoted to have said in the statement.

The statement noted that the EFCC was taking its time to investigate the scandal, so that “a water tight case” will be made before prosecution.

According to the Canada-based analyst, the organisation has helped countries, rich in oil and gas to get a fair share of the revenue, analyse oil contracts and build economic models, ultimately forecast government revenue. “The 2011 RA will result in the loss of revenue to the Nigerian people and government to the tune of at least $4.5 billion”.

“The reason for the losses is the core relevant of a production sharing contract, the share of profit to the government has been removed from this particular deal,” he said, explaining further that “as it stands today, Nigeria will lose between $6bn and 10bn to the deal, which is now being investigated outside Nigeria”.

He explained that the result of their findings indicated an estimate minimum loss of $4.5billion as a result of the 2011 deal.

Chairman of HEDA Resource Centre, Olarewaju Suraju, a “corruption hunter”, and one of the partners in the team that produced the findings on the OPL 245, commended the efforts of the EFCC in the fight against corruption.

Suraju who said they prepared the damning finding to enable the Nigerian government identify and punish the individuals and organisations involved in the oil scam explained that all hands must be on deck to stop further pillage of the nation’s oil revenue.

“It is the strong recommendation of HEDA and the partners that the OPL 245 licence should be revoked and we now have both economic and legal basis to challenge the deal”, he said. (ThisDay)

Senate Majority Leader Attacks Atiku, The Entire PDP, Over 2018 Electoral Bill

The Senate Leader, Alhaji Ahmed Lawan, has advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stop putting pressure on President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the 2018 Electoral Act Amendment bill into law.

Lawan gave the advice when he fielded questions from State House correspondents in Abuja on Friday.

He warned that the president would not be stampeded into signing the bill without studying the document to avoid errors.

He said: “The electoral bill you are talking about has been sent back twice or thrice, that is to tell you that the president is willing to sign he bill provided it meets certain conditions that will make our electoral processes better and more sane.

“So, the President is studying this bill. It’s not like you will send it to him and he will immediately sign. This is a sign that he is really interested in what we sent back to him.

“It is for him and his advisers to read through line by line and see how best the electoral process can be enhanced.

“So, I think we should encourage the president and those helping him to complete going through the bill before he signs.’’

According to him, the 2006 Electoral Act as amended which was used to conduct the 2015 general elections is still valid and can be used for the conduct of 2019 general elections.

He said the 2006 Electoral Act if properly implemented could even deliver a more transparent, free and fair elections in 2019 than what was experienced in 2015.

“We still have the 2006 Electoral Act as amended that we used in 2015 for an election that was adjudged to be free, fair and an improved process.

“We don’t necessarily put so much pressure and unneeded criticism of the president when he is yet to complete his analysis of what has been sent to him. He needs to take his time,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that before the latest version of the Electoral Act was submitted to the Presidency, the President had withheld his assent to the document about three times.
