COVID-19: 3 New Deaths Recorded As More Cases Are Reported In Zambia

In the last 24 hours, out of 1175 tests,  34 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths and 10 recoveries were recorded, Zambia National Public Health Institute tweets.

They include: truck drivers (Chirundu,Mwandi); individuals routinely screened (Lusaka,Chongwe) & facility surveillance (Lsk, Mumbwe, Mongu);travellers @ KKIA; health workers (Mongu,Mansa)

New reported cases include 17 from Lusaka, 6 from Mongu, 

5 from Chirundu, 2 from Mansa, 2 from Mumbwa, 1 from Chongwe, 1 from Mwandi. 

Deaths recorded were 2 from Lewanika General Hospital (Mongu), 1 from UTH (Lusaka) 

Recoveries were reported from Lusaka.

Total cumulative number of confirmed cases in Zambia now stands at 1531, total number of recoveries stand at 1233 and total deaths at 21. Total active cases stand at 277.
