Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde recently called out the President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osibanjo over the state of the nation, coupled with killings across the nation. Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is the latest celebrity to join the endless list of celebs who have called out the Special Anti-Robbery Squad over their brutality, killings and how hard the financial situation in Nigeria has been.
Here is a little introduction on who Bashir Ahmad is. President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Bashir Ahmad as his Personal Assistant on New Media. He is an indigene of Kano state. Until his appointment, he was the Online Editor (Hausa) for Leadership Newspaper. The Presidential aide oversees Buhari’s communication on social media and related platforms.
Bashir Ahmad insinuated that Omotola Jalade means of getting money wasn’t a legitimate way, he wrote: “Madam Omotola those who are working for CLEAN money are not complaining and will never refer our dear country as ‘hellish’. In Kano State alone, from 2015 to 2018, no fewer than 200 medium and small scale rice milling centres emerged. For that, billions circulated among millions”.
Omotola Jalade who fired back at the Presidency after it debunked her comment of ‘Nigeria is hellish under Buhari’, stated that as long as their tweet never insinuated she is not working clean for her money, she is cool with them. She took to her Instagram page to respond to what Bashir Ahmad wrote.
“As long as you’re not insinuating that I am not working CLEAN for my money… I hear you. Its good that there are some progress… Do you truly want to say you don’t see all that’s really wrong? Can we fight for our future in truth for once? Without being partisan?”
Alot of Nigerians have been on this issue making Omotola and Bashir Ahmad trend on Twitter. Here are some of the twitter reactions: These are negative reactions to Omotola Jalade’s post. They are of the opinion that Omotola is not getting free money like she used to that is why she is blaming the Presidency.
This is so shallow coming from you. You meant to write 'no more free money for you and your likes'.

You cannot afford to dissipate energy on people like @Tolahinges. These guys are everywhere online defending their oppressors who give them crumbs while they slave away with their children. More of them will show up. They are irredeemable Nigerians.

Lol, Apart from the FACT that I do not and was NEVER in the company of collecting free money? It's sad that you think "circulation on Money in a Nation" means free money. Speaks clearly of your orientation and level of education/understanding. It's okay dear, business? I'm good. https://t.co/zuMheSSabh

Now I undestand why @Realomosexy and co are crying of 'The lack of money in circulation'. Such 👆 was how they circulated the money.
Thank you President @MBuhari for forcing people to live within their legit earnings. No more awoof😜

This is my hope as well. It's not too late. I truly hope they'll first,
Communicate with the citizenry,Help us understand their direction. Then put a STOP to these killings by putting stiff penalties in place…. https://t.co/fd1MVZVrq1

This all started as a result of Omotola’s first tweet, she wrote: “The Country Under your watch is Hellish! @ProfOsinbajo @MBuhari @NGRPresident The lack of Money in circulation,Now coupled with the Continuous Assault n Killings by Uniformed men’ll make this Country implode!!!It’s Unbearable! Do something! Insecurity!Fear n Desperation everywhere”.
After the whole argument, Bashir Ahmad tweeted: “There are problems, and some have been with us since 1950s. Yes, I am partisan and I replied you because you mentioned
@MBuhari and @ProfOsinbajo’s govt which I am working in. We as Nigerians, can you honestly say we are all acting like we have problems? Do we really pay taxes?”
