Panic As IPOB Members Kill SARS Officer

Yet to be identified men have killed a Police Officer attached to the Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS, headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, whose name was not ascertained at press time.

It was alleged that the killers were members of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, who had vowed that there was no going back on the sit-at-home order on Thursday, October 1, 2020.

It was learnt that the victim was on special duty at Oyigbo Local Government Area on Wednesday ahead of the independence day celebration, but was killed while looking for what to eat in the area around 9:30 pm.

Former Ugandan university lecturer sentenced for sexually molesting female student

A former Makerere University Senior Administrative Assistant has been sentenced to a fine of Shs4m or two years in prison for sexually molesting a former student, Rachael Njoroge.

Edward Kisuze, a registrar in the College of Computing and Information Science, was convicted on the count of indecent assault by the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate, Miriam Akello on Wednesday, September 30.

The chief magistrate said there was overwhelming evidence from the prosecution that proved the case of indecent assault against Kisuze.

Messi To Battle Ronaldo In UCL Group Stage

The 2020/21 UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures has been released today, 1st October.

The highlight of the draw was Juvetus and Barcelona fixtures, as rivals Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to battle again in the group stages this season, after their clubs Juventus and Barcelona were paired together in Group G.

Following the tragic accident that took two lives on Wednesday, Primero Transport Services Ltd, operators of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Lagos State.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the tragic accident involving a BRT bus and a commercial motorcycle operator carrying two passengers, took place on BRT lane at Ile-Igbo inward Abule-Egba area of Lagos.

This was contained in a statement released by the Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Mutiu Yekeen where the firm commiserated with the family of the victims.
