Reports coming in has it that another building collapse has occurred in Lagos.
The report says a two-storey building located at No. 9 Adio Street in the new garage area of Lagos State, partially collapsed in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
According to The Nation, rescue efforts are already underway as many are feared trapped in the building with two persons rescued so far.
This building collapse brings the total number of collapse in Lagos to about 8 within the space of 7 months.
The most infamous was the tragic collapse which occurred at Ita Faji area of Lagos Island with at least 18 dead.
The building, located at Massey Street, Opposite Oja, Ita-Faaji, collapsed around 10am on Wednesday, trapping as many as 100 people, with many of them being children as it then housed a nursery and Primary school, Ohen Private Nursery and Primary School on its third floor.
Another building collapse occurred yet again on March 25, 2019 as a three-storey building reportedly collapsed in Kakawa street, Lagos Island. Fortunately, no one was trapped in the building as it had been marked for demolition and occupants had vacated.
The collapsed structure, however, affected a bungalow with three occupants.
